Campsite situated near to Orleans in Le Loiret (45), Central region
Whether approaching from north, south, east or west, our strategic geographical position leads you inexorably toward us! (Paris: 150km, Nevers: 90km, Orleans: 60km, Bourges: 90km).
For Holland, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and France, the Departments of the North, Normandy and Brittany, the Vendee, Aquitaine, the Rhone valley, the East of France, the Alps or deep south, our position in the Central region is unmissable!!!!
Situated opposite the Chateau and the town, just 10 minutes walk from the centre
From Spring to Autumn (start of March to mid-November), TheCamping Touristique de Gien allows you to discover the many facets of the banks of the Loire according to the season and the charm of its landscapes.
The “Loire a velo” circuit passes by our door and allows walkers, horse riders and cyclists to find accommodation, food, provisions, replacement gear and even transport , making the stopover both pleasant and memorable.
The proximity of the town and its railway station are bonus points which can enhance your stay. But whether you have your own accommodation, arrive by bike, car or canoe, whether you want to stay the night or on the contrary enjoy a stay in a Mobile home orRomany style caravan to get to know the area, we can welcome you to a peaceful and quiet setting with its flowers and trees. The Reception is open for you every day from 8-00am to midday and from 2-00pm to 7-00pm. There you will find all the brochures and information you need to discover the riches of our Val de Loire region (classed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco).
Add to this the fact that we are on the crossroads for La Sologne, Le Berry, le Gatinais and that the Sancerrois region is close by and you will have a large swathe of the richness of our Central region.
Between the Chateau de Sully and its costumed visits, Chamerolles and its perfumes, La Bussiere with its market gardens and cabins, Saint Brisson and its medieval war weaponry, a little further on Guedelon and its fortress, Saint Fargeau with its light and sound show, its chateau farm, the treetop adventure trail, the Musee du Cirque, and la Sorcellerie, each day spent offers a new and original discovery.
Rather than keep you on the campsite with traditional activities, we prefer to give you the means to enjoy our beautiful region.
However, each week we offer an evening with a range of very different themes: music, magic, quick change artists, fashion shows, old cars, special bar evenings, gastronomy evenings or mussels and chips evenings…….
